shape curved neck

I am not sure how this works. I have bound off the center stitches and added new bal of yarn. The instructions say to bind off 4 stitches at each neck edge. When it start the row and get to the neck edge' I can't BO because it is at the end. Then I pick up the new yarn and BO and go to end. I know I am doing something wrong. Help! Camilla

You're right that you can't bind off at the end of the row. Knit across, drop the first ball of yarn, pick up the second, bind off at the neck edge and then knit to the end of the row. On the next row work to the neck edge, drop ball 2, pick up ball 1 and bind off on that edge, then finish the row. The bind offs will be offset by a row but it won't be noiceable at all.
