FO: Doll's summer hat

The hat's finished, now the outfit's complete. The hat was my first attempt at knitting in the round - I'd been wanting to make some hats for myself for this winter, and decided the doll was a better place to start.

I can't honestly say I love knitting itr - although it's kind of fun. I'm not sure how much advantage there is to it, if you're just doing a hat - and for stocking st, when knitting flat there is at least the variety of purling back, instead of just knitting and knitting and knitting and...but I have to admit I don't know a lot about it yet cause I just dove right into this very simple project without any playing around first, which really wasn't all that bright, lol.

I used the 2 circ's method. It's pretty nice, a bit awkward at times, but I think would work a lot more smoothly for a continental-styled knitter. I can't do that.

Now I'm going to put on just a few stitches, and play around with "what would happen if...if I did this, or that, or or or.

Anyway - the hat fits and I learned LOTS, so this whole outfit was a good project.

Thanks for looking!

Oh, yeah, that was just what the outfit needed to complete it perfectly. Beautiful hat and very well done.

I  knitting in the round because I can avoid purling entire rows! Someone even posted a link to a video for knitting in the round showing how to turn to do garter stitch without purling. To each their own, I'm glad we can each do our own thing in out own way.
