Stitches Midwest this coming weekend

Looking forward to the Stitches Midwest convention this coming weekend. :woohoo:
I will probably be brain dead by the end of the weekend as I am taking a total of 7 classes in 3 1/2 days. What was I thinking????:hmm:
Can't wait to see all the luscious yarns and other products at the booths.
Maybe I should leave my credit cards in the hotel room???!!!:noway:

:woohoo: Have fun! Please explain, if you leave your cards in the hotel room, how can you use them to buy yarn? :??
:roflhard:

Yeah, well that ain't happenin', to use bad grammar!!
I was being a little tongue in cheek when I wrote that line.
Though I am rapidly outgrowing my stash space. I will soon be like the woman with the closet cartoon you posted. :woot:

Have fun! I'm not quite ready for an event like that, but one day, one day!

The nice thing about Stitches is that there are all levels of classes you can take.
Or you can just go for the day and hang out in the amazing Market where all the vendors are. Just be careful your credit card doesn't melt from over use.:roflhard:

Returned from an amazing Stitches weekend.
Classes for the most part were great. Learned a lot of tips and new techniques.
Spent way too much on luscious yarn!!!
See GG I knew it was a pipe dream to not take the credit cards to the vendors area!!!
Picked up some amazing yarns, some new needles and misc bits and pieces of knitting stuff that I didn't have, patterns and a great book by Laura Bryant about knitting with hand dyed yarns with patterns included.
It was fun walking through the hotel and seeing woman, and an occasional man sitting everywhere with their knitting in hand!!
Can't wait til next year.:woot:

So what did you buy? You're going to have to take some pics and show us.

Oh my!!
Let's see..
I got one kind from Kollage called Riveting Sport that's made from recycled blue jeans in a dark blue. That's for a sleeveless top with a lace bottom part.
Baby Boom, from Fiesta that's a hand dyed variegated super wash Merino in blues, purple, dark fushia, and light rust. That's for a cardigan vest.
A tie dyed type bright colored skein in blues and light greens from Miss Babs for a shawl called Hitchhiker.
Another one from Miss Babs in three colors, black, light gray, and variegated in gray, black, a smidgen of white, with splashes of bright blue and dark purple. That's for an Intarsia sweater if I can find a pattern I like.
Then a single skein from Knitting Rose, called Swiss Bloom in various shades of lighter blues that I'm going to make a scarf out of.
And lastly another one from Fiesta that I had to order the colors, for a chevron capped sleeved top done in blues, brown and tans.
I can't get my camera to download to my computer for some reason, but will try my iPhone and see if I can get that to work.

yeah, kinda got carried away with the blues, but they are all different lightness, brightness, and mixtures.
Except for the gray and black.
I couldn't find any greens that didn't have blue in them. At least none that stood out. I do have some greens in my stash as well as brown, and purple.:)
The friend that went with me did a lot in things based with purples.
Funny how one gets stuck on one color!!
