Begere de France - Free Knitting Catalogue

I just received this offer in my email from UK Let's Knit magazine. Begere de France is one of France's most popular knitting companies and I saw them making inroads into the UK knitting market when I was in England in April/May. They also produce a rather nice knitting catalogue with 168 patterns in it and 27 metres of yarn samples... and if you sign up as a new customer on their website you get this for free, and will also get subsequent releases too... seems worth a shot! It's also the first time their catalogue has been written in English, patterns look really nice in it too. I just signed up, normally they charge you $5 for it.

The link is here if you want to sign up too, they post worldwide. You can see the patterns here too, if you want to have a look first.

Thanks very much for the news. I like Bergere de France's patterns. I'll give it a try.

Right now I'm wishing I'd never signed up at Lets Knit. I am getting so many emails from them I feel like I'm being spammed and can't find a way to change the newsletter subscriptions. The way the email says to do it...I can't even find the newsletter preferences it says to change. I contacted the site. I'm not happy. If you can help me figure this out maybe I'll have a better opinion of them. :grrr:

Oh that's odd, I get one, sometimes two emails a week from them. I was very careful when I signed up and unchecked lots of boxes so they wouldn't inundate me with emails. Hope you can get it sorted. I also registered a second email address with yahoo that I only use for signing up for stuff, my personal one is then truly personal and doesn't get all the spam stuff.

My two cent's worth: I love their yarn, it's cheap crap, but at least it's nicely produced. I subscribed to "Knit and Stitch" magazine, 80 issues over two years, two balls of yarn per issue and, when I'm done, a nice big Afghan/Throw for the couch.
