Knitted Felted Clogs ... how long do they last

Hi all.
I just finished my very first knitting project which was a pair of slippers that I then felted.

I am very anxious to try and make the felted clog.
I see many use this pattern

I have been wearing felt clogs for 30 or so years. I would love be able to make my own.
With the above version, how long before the sole wears out if wearing outside?

Has anyone tried to make the felt clogs and then adhere them to a rubber or cork sole like these ones

Does anyone know where to purchase the cork soles?

Thanks

Jen

I've done that pattern more times than I care to count. It's a really good pattern and totally worth the money. My Mother asks for a pair every year for Christmas and she wears hers everyday but only inside the house. Her's only last 2-3 months but she is very hard on them.
I've seen the leather soles at specialty yarn stores before but they would probably be just as easy to buy online, I've never used them myself.
I dunno about cork or about wearing them outside.
