Picking up in crochet?

Ok, maybe I'm dumb, but was I supposed to know how to crochet before I learned to knit? Can someone please tell me how to pick up stitches with a single crochet? I'm almost finished with the Little Turtle Knits Ribby Wrap and I'm baffled. The instructions say "work a single crochet in each of th slipped stitches." Can someone direct me to a video of this being done?
Thanks!

There are basic crochet videos on http://www.stitchguide.com. It doesn't show crocheting on the knitted garment, but that'll help if you need to learn single crochet first. Then to add it to the knitting, just stick the crochet hook in the stitches that it specifies do a single crochet into each.

Hope that helps!

With a slip knot on your crochet hook, insert hook into the first slipped stitch, yarn over and pull through slipped stitch (just as if you were picking up stitches with a knitting needle), yarn over and pull through both loops on hook. This should leave you with one loop on your crochet hook. Repeat the single crochet stitch in each of your slipped stitches on your project. Hope this helps!

(And I started crocheting long before I ever taught myself how to knit...)
