Pattern Wanted: Knee High Sock for Ample Calf

I have thinking og branching out into socks and want to knit myself a paire of knee highs, but all of the patterns I find are for skinny legged folks. The knitters over at the ample list suggest I just modify a pattern. As a new knitter, I just want a pattern that I can figure out and knit. Help

I have a pattern booklet, an OLD pattern booklet, that has a pattern for knee socks in teen, women, and men sizes. There are lots of cables, etc. There are no specific sizes listed, but the directions call for a co of 50 st for the men's. If you are interested pm me and I'll send it to you. When I say OLD, its so old there's no zip code for the address!

cristine E. Zimmerman put out some knee high sock patterns, they were knit for men so may have a more ample calf. If you go to schoolhousepress.com you can ask about these patterns.
