The curling problem...

Hey knitters, long time no chat. I'm working on a scarf in a basic ribbed pattern with a "decorative" edge, basically just slipping the first stitch of every row. I did this on another scarf with a different pattern and it worked great, but in my current project it causes the edges to curl. I know this is often a problem with stockinette stitch as well. What can I do to correct that when the scarf is already finished? Will blocking work? Some somrt of heat treatment? Its 75% wool and 25% some artificial stuff. Thanks for the help!!

Do a full wet block. Soak it in warm water, squeeze out the excess and lay it flat to dry. Pin down the edges if necessary. It should dry flat and stay that way for a reasonable length of time. :)
