Ribbed knitting...
I'm a very new knitter, and i've just recently learned the purl stitch, i have made gloves and i'm currently working on a pair of mittens, but i'm having trouble with my ribbed stitch, the pattern says to k2, p2 so i'm doing that but it's looking like the stitches are woven, not ribbed. once i get to the end of the row of k2, p2, when i start a new row do i start with k or p? i'm starting every row k2, i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong...help!

Whatever type of stitch you ended the previous row with, start with the opposite stitch.
So if k2 was your last set, start with p2. If its k p1 rib, and you end with a p1, start with a k1. |
that helped so much, thanks! :D
