Fisherman's rib

Hello all! I'm new to posting on the forum but I have learned most of what I know from the videos and forum posts here. Thank you so much!

But I have a question about Fisherman's rib. I don't understand what they mean when they say "knit in the row below." Is there a video or diagram out there that might help me understand this part of the stitch? Thank you!

Welcome! Here are a couple of places that explain it.

Thank you! That second site definitely has a great diagram on where the needle is going into the lower stitch. And apparently the stitch above the one you knit into will then be removed, right?

When you put your needle into the stitch below and knit it, the one above automatically gets knit, too, so you'll have both stitches around your new stitch.
