FO's - Orange baby set
 

I knit this nursing shawl and baby hat for my friend who is due in January. :D The blanket is a pattern that I listed on the pattern forum and the baby hat is out of the "Last Minute Knitted Gifts" books (Kim's hats). It's just a basic roll-brim hat.

Very, very nice!! Looks so soft and cushy. Great job, she'll love it!

That is beautiful! The cotton looks so much nicer than Sugar 'n' Cream...it has more of a sheen to it. Is it easier to work with? Nice that you chose such a different color than traditional, too!

The set is really pretty!! Not sure if you seen it or not but in the FO post in General knitting I posted a picture of the afghan I did using your pattern.. I really liked it and I didn't get bored cause I wasn't doing the same thing I was either k8 or p8. :thumbsup:

Jan, it is SOOO much easier to work with than Sugar n Cream... it is MUCH softer too! Mind you, it's a bit more expensive as well. But, as I alwayyys say, "You get what you pay for!" It's worth it to me for a nice gift. I want to make a blanket out of that stuff for ME! :lol:

I also love that this set isn't in the traditional pastel baby colors. It's for a very untraditional type of couple. She's going to LOOOOVE that it's not pastel blue/pink/yellow/green. I can't wait to give it to her. Dec. 10th is her baby shower (which I'm hosting)!
