What is the rule for creating a stripe pattern?
First of all, I'm new here and very glad to have found this forum!
Here is my question: At one point I read somewhere that there is a certain pattern to creating a striped garment (ex scarf). I don't know if I'm making sense. Well, for example, and I'm just making this up in my head: 2 rows color A 2 rows color B 5 rows colo?r A 5 rows color B 3 rows color A etc... Anybody have any idea what I'm talking about? TIA!!! |
I don't know if there is a "rule" but this random stripe generator is SO FUN! http://www.kissyourshadow.com/stripe_maker.php

The rule is you do whatever looks best to you.

There is also an article on various "eye-pleasing" ratios on planetshoup. http://www.planetshoup.com/easy/tips/math.shtml And yes ladies... it *is* math, and it *is* painless! :roflhard:
