Inexpensive Cotton Alternatives?
I love Knit Picks for cheaper wools. Is there an alternative for some expensive cottons? I have fallen in love with Rowan Cotton Glace for my daughters booties and would like to spend a little less.

What about KnitPicks Shine & Shine Twist?
Also, I have used Bernat Cotton Tots and it is quite nice and some lovely colors to choose from. I used the 'Lime Berry' for a child's hooded vest and it was such an awesome color. http://www.bernat.com/product.php?LG...ontots&SPP=999 |
Thanks KQ.
Oh, I love Cotton Tots. My favorite one is Sweet Dreams. For some reason I found it in the cheap bin at Hobby Lobby and got my sister in laws to check at their Hobby Lobby's as well. So I'm getting a few for one and two dollars each! I love making baby hats out of it. Which reminds me I need to take some pics of those hats. But I need to size down my favorite bootee pattern down to make it work with CT. I'm planning on making a baby blanket of it as soon as my others come in the mail. I love that stuff. I bet the sweater was darling! Ok this is embarassing. I just looked at my KP catalogue and realized it is very old. "April 2005" Hmm either I was a really good friend and gave away my new one, or one of my naughty friends swiped it. :) Oh well. And Shine wasnt in it yet. :) I'll pick up a couple of them and see how it works. :) Thanks. Candace |
I'm not a huge fan of knitting with cotton, but I really liked working with Shine.

I like cotton tots and cream n sugar. We don't have a LYS around so I have to use what I can find at the craft stores or order online. Hobby Lobby has their own line of yarn--did you check to see if one is 100% cotton??

Have you tried elann? The colors are a little limited right now, but this would be a possible substitute: http://secure.elann.com/productdisp....derBy=&Count=1
