Do you need an easy sock pattern?

Hello people! I have a really, I MEAN REALLY easy sock pattern for y'all here it is:

cast on the amount of stitches as long as your foot
knit for about six or seven inches. Seam up at one end
and gather the other end, and seam up half of the top of sock, now pick up stitches around the hole and knit for as long as you want.

repeat for the other sock
and thats all there is to it! :XX:

Enjoy!

P.S. this pattern can be used for baby booties too!

I am having trouble visualizing this. Forgive me, I'm new. Is the toe rounded, pointed, square? Where does the seam end up -- top of foot or bottom?

Thanks,
Candice

The knitted rectangle is folded up length-wise and the toe is rounded because after it's sewn up, it's turned inside out. And Candice, the seam ends up on either , top or bottom, it doesn't matter

Abby (that's my real name)

:D I had trouble with this at first too. But I figured it out! I took a sheet of my note paper (6x9) and folded it up. Makes perfect sense now. Thanx much
