Beginner cardigan
 

Hi all,
I had wanted to do a cabled sweater. But after swatching I decided I really dont have that much skill/patience yet.

But I still want to knit a sweater. It IS only 6 degrees today! :)
I have looked through pattern central and have not found waht I would like.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a simple cardigan pattern? Preferably with pockets. Also, I am not up to a full cabled cardi yet - but I would like a more challenging stitch than stockinette.

Help appreciated!

There are some nice cardigans here for puchase. They have nice details but don't look too complicated.

I had just decided to bite the bullet and take on a more challenging cable pattern. But Im going to go shopping on that site anyway. Ill pick up a "contigency" pattern - just in case my other is a complete disaster lol
