Homespun Yarn
I have two skeins of Homespun yarn and I dont' know what to knit with them. I have read posts on here and it seems to be a less than favorite yarn. What would you recommend I make with this yarn?

Thanks for the help.

I love the colors that homespun has, but I didn't enjoy knitting with it. For one thing it hides the stitches so I feel like what's the point. It would be a nice warm blanket, but of course two skeins is not enough for that. On the Lion Brand website they have a lot of patterns for each each yarn. Here's the one for homespun. Maybe you can get an idea from there for a smallish project. A hat or two or a baby sweater maybe?

I vote hat. Also, I made a skinny, long scarf using very large needles -- a fashion type scarf, not a winter scarf, and got lots of compliments at work. :D

I would recommend that you not knit with it and return it to the store or sell it on ebay.

With knitting you need to enjoy the process as much as you like the end result. Life is too short to waste on bad yarn!

Homespun yarn
I just joined the forum today with a question and happened to see this post. I made reference in my posting to a sweater disaster which produced an ugly sweater that would fit my Miata..........done with Homespun!!!! I ditto the above. Also, it splits, you cannot see the individual stitches and the nubby stuff gets hung up on the needles. I did a gauge swatch which was on the mark and had an experienced knitter check it for me. Made no difference.

Home Spun can provide a lot to talk about over tea. I don't like it all, by girlfriend LOVES it. It's become very popular in church groups because it makes such soft prayer shawls.
