FO -- Teddy bears
3 Attachment(s)
Here's a couple of Teddy Bears that my wife and I knitted over the past couple of weeks, both patterns were from "The Knitted Teddy Bear" by Sandra Polley. Comments are welcome, but I think both were done pretty well for a first try. The one in Tan and Green was the one I did and the Red one was done by my wife.

They are great.
I just bought that book last night, I have been flipping through it everytime I go to the book store and finally decided to just buy it. Which bear from the book did you knit? Was it difficult? I can't wait to get started on my first knitted bear! |
well Holly, the one I did, (the one in the green dress) is Elizabeth, and the red one that my wife did is one of the beginner bears. my wife found that the beginner bear was a bit challenging, but then she's not a practiced knitter either. Elizabeth was fairly easy to knit up, and put together, though I wasn't familiar with doing a backstitch seam, though looking back, it's pretty easy once you get it down.

very nice! My only attempt at knitting a stuffed animal (a bunny at easter) ended in disaster so Kudos to you!
