The Adirondack Pullover

My problem is keeping the pattern.
While knitting flat:
Row 1: knit 1, purl 3 (wrong side)
Row 2: knit (right side)
The pattern. How would I do that? I think that I may have it but I want to make sure.
---
Row 3: Pattern stitch row 1, worked in pattern across increases.
Row 4: K1, M1, K2 before marker 1. M1, slip marker, k3, M1, k to before marker
2, M1, slip marker k3, M1, knit to before marker 3, M1, slip marker, k3, M1, k to
before marker 4, M1, slip marker, k3, M1, k to last stitch, M1, k1.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until piece measures 2.5 inches from beginning, ending
after a wrong side row. 145 [145, 167, 167 179] stitches.
----
So Do I go in stitch pattern and then when I get to an increase st st to the next increase the pick back up with the pattern?
Thanks!

It looks like you're doing the raglan increases? Since they're being done on the right side, which is all knit, then you should knit between the markers and work the pattern on the wrong side.
