Moss Stitch aka Seed Stitch - Even or Odd Cast On
Hi There
This is probably one of the more pedantic questions I'm going to post: Does it matter if you cast on an even or odd number of stitches when doing Moss Stitch? The reason I'm asking is because in my original set of "beginners' notes", it states that you should cast on with an odd number of stitches, however, there is an obscenely cute bootie pattern (using Seed Stitch) which I'm about to try which definitely casts on with an even number of stitches. Thanks in advance :) jem |
I think it doesn't matter as long as you knit the purl stitches, and purl the knit stitches. Go for it!

Thanks guys! The links in particular are very handy - I didn't fully appreciate that there is a subtle difference.
