from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. The pattern calls for Cash Iroha but I want to use my mmmmmmmalabrigo. Do y'all think this is a good substitute? Or will it go horribly wrong?

How can you go horribly wrong with MMMMMMmmmmmmalibrigo?

I think that sounds like a great substitution. Hourglass seems to work in lots of different yarns, and I think it would be especially beautiful in malabrigo.

(I am resisting the temptation to make mine out of that now.... thanks for the idea!)

yeah. it was HUGE when it first came out and its still in hardcover, full price. It has lots of really cute stuff in there. THey do have it at libraries now too.
