I think I'm going to pass out

I was talking with DH tonight. Telling him about my drop spindle habit. He said he's still make me a wheel if I wanted, but he'd really like for me to be able to tell him what I want. Then he says "why haven't you bought one yet?" So I'm all "what?" He says, "I want you to have things that make you happy. Get one." I told him how much they cost. His response, "whatever, get one." :woot: I guess I'll start looking for real now. Wow, I'm in shock.

Here's a bit of a trap I fell in. I was so new and clueless that I didn't consider ratios too much b/c I had no real idea what I wanted to spin. Still love my traveller. I got the lace flyer and jumbo flyer so I'm good to go now.

I'm so excited for you :woohoo: Soooo....whatcha thinkin' about getting?

I'm not sure. Of course I've looked, but now I have to REALLY look.

What a great DH! Do they sell them somewhere? Where can I find one? Guess I shouldn't complain my bf is letting me get an angora bunny.

Congrats! :thud:

 Was he awake when he said that? My husband will sometimes babble like that when he's really sleepy. :teehee:

Oh yeah, he was awake. He even got one of his battle buddies to confirm that he was serious! lol Nothing he can do about it now, the wheel is here and in use. LOL He wants a $500 sword, and I'm sure this was his way of bargaining for it.

LOL! Get em young and train them. :roflhard: DH is 8 years younger than I am, so he's well trained. lol

Careful, spinning wheels are addictive!

I really love my double treadle Traveler - I have a jumbo flyer for it.

I got rid of the cotton drive band and switched to a more elastic type band (pony bead lacing from Wally world - shhhh!) and found out I really don't need a lace flyer!

Picked up an antique Irish style saxony style wheel a few years ago. It's more for show than for spinning since I have just one bobbin. This past spring got into a silent auction at a fiber fest & picked up a 70's era Ashford Traditional - tried my Traveler bobbins on it and they fit!
