IK - Old World Bootie - Gold Bobble Bootie Question

I've just started and have a question this is the first part for the sole:

With A, CO 38 (42, 50) sts.
Row 1:(WS) Knit.
Row 2:(RS) Knit into front and back of next st (k1f&b), k17
(19, 23), [k1f&b] 2 times, k17 (19, 23), k1f&b4 sts incd.
Row 3:Knit.
Row 4:K1, k1f&b, k17 (19, 23), k1f&b, k2, k1f&b, k17 (19, 23),
k1f&b, k14 sts incd.

Cont in this manner, inc 1 st each end of needle and 2 sts at center, working new sts in center as knit sts and increasing at outer edges of new sts, on RS rows until there are 62 (68, 78) sts.

My question is what does Cont in this manner mean? Does it mean to do rows 1-4 as the repeat or just row 4? I'm thinking it just is Row 4 but wanted to ask just in case I'm wrong.

Thanks!

Looks to me like you will be increasing 4 stitches on every right side row, one at each edge and two in the center, as you did for row 4. The number of stitches between the two center kfb's will increase, as will the number of stitches at each edge (notice in row 2 the kfb is right at the edge, and in row 4, there is a k1 before the kfb).

Does this help?

So I will be doing row 4 over again but I am to do a knit row too... row 4 then knit a row...row 4 then knit a row.

But I'll need to figure out where the appropriate increases will be. Is that right?

yeah, all WS rows will be a knit row.

If you look at row 2, the kfb is at the beginning of the row and then in row 4 there's a k1, kfb. So I am assuming that row 6 will be k2, kfb and row 8 will be k3, kfb, etc. So there will be one more stitch worked at each edge before the increase on each subsequent RS row. Then in the center increases, on row 2 the two increases are right next to each other (ie. kfb, kfb) then in row 4 there is a kfb, k2, kfb so again, I think row 6 will be kfb, k4, kfb for the center increases and row 8 will be kfb, k6, kfb, etc.

Does that make sense??

Perfect sense.... so the K17 doesn't change at all.

Thank you so much for the help, KQ! :muah:
