Is there a difference?
 

Hey everyone! Long time no talk :)

I'm on knitpicks right now ordering some yarn, and since I'm on a tight budget, I'm going for the $1.99 yarn (Wool of the Andes and Telemark, in particular) and I was wondering... is there a difference? I mean I know they are made of different materials, but if I was making a scarf or a hat, is one better than the other?

Another question: If I were making a scarf with stripes, is it ok to knit, say, Wool of the Andes with Shine, which is mostly cotton?
