knitting on large needles -guage/tension

I've never used large needles...the pattern I'm following now uses US#15 10mm needles. Any tips for tension? I'm finding it really difficult to knit and keep the guage right. I'm dying for some help here!! Any takers??

Find a different way of holding the yarn, see if that helps. I like using large needles and don't have a problem with them. I have a real hard time with anything smaller than a 10/6mm.
