Brand New To This
 

Hello everyone!

I just bought my first needles - Boye Circular Needles, 5.00mm, US: 8, 29" - and Caron Simply Soft Worsted Weight, 4ply. I have tried to watch the videos here on this site, the Continental is the way I want to learn I'm pretty sure. I would love to learn the knit stitch and the purl stitch just to start with. I can't seem to get the whole instructional video to download...it will download about 30 seconds and then stop...so I basically see nothing. Are there any written instructions with pictures on the Continental??? Thank you so much for your help! I crochet and know some stitches with that and do very well, but I thought I would also try my hand at knitting, it looks like just as much fun and as soothing as crocheting.

When the video opens, does it play for a while then stop? or just not download anything?

If it plays for a while then stops, leave it open a few minutes to do what its doing, then go back to it and press play. Depending on the program you use, there may be a progress bar at the bottom that needs to change colour all the way along before it can play properly.

Hope that makes sense.

I'm new to this myself so I don't know if there are other instructions!
