knitting in the round

 How do you join in the round on circular needles (like to knit a tube for a sock or something without seams). I read some instructions on another site and well, being a newbie, I could not understand it at all. Could someone give me a clue what to do after all my stitches are casted on the circular needle? :?? Thanks

Turn the work so the working yarn is on the right hand needle. Then when you do the first stitch they will be joined.
