socks on 2 circular needles pattern explanation
My knitpick options just came this week! I am trying to do 2 socks on 2 circular needles using this pattern and was needing some clarifcation.
The pattern says to:

Continue ribbing over first needle and begin lace pattern across stitches on second needle as follows:
Rnd 1: p 2[4], *k2tog, yo, k2, yo, k2tog, p 2* 3 times total; p 0[2].
Rnd 2: p 0[2] * p2, k 6* 3 times total; p 2[4].
Cont in this manner until sock leg measures 5[6] inches or length desired.

My question is does this mean that needle one will be only ribbing and needle 2 would be the lace pattern through out?

I have done about an inch of the top of the socks. So far so good. The only thing that is bugging me, is that I keep getting the two balls of yarn tangled up. Am I doing something wrong or is that the nature of knitting with two balls of yarn.

Yep, sounds right to me. One needle is all ribbing (bottom/back of sock), the other is all lace (top/front of sock).

And the balls will get tangled because you're twisting the two yarns around each other each time you complete a round of knitting. It's the downside to knitting two socks at one time, which is why I don't.

Thanks. Once I get the hang of this I want to try and knit some socks using the magic loop method. When I get a little futher along I will post a picture.
