chain with DPN
 

I'm making something which tells you to join two edges by picking up and knitting them together with a chain stitch using a DPN.

How do I do that?

I've seen instructions for crocheting a chain stitch but how do you do that with a CPN?

I think it would be something like pick up a stitch through both edges and bind it off. That produces a chain stitch.
