i need help finding wool silk!
Hi everyone!
I have 6 balls of Jaeger Wool Silk in a cream colour. And i really do need more than just 6x20g of the stuff. This is the most luxurious and softest beautiful yarn! It was given to me by my grandmother. So when i asked her if she could get me more she couldn't even remember that she gave me it in the first place! I have looked all over the internet, but I'm no expert ( i get most of my yarn on ebay ). Has anyone come accross any? Or something very similar??

Does it have a different name other than Wool Silk? You can check out for Jaeger wools and see if it's still available.

maybe its "Zephyr Wool-Silk" by Jagger Spun ? still in production (i think) good luck! it does come in white and a cream color called vanilla.

is this it?
maybe that seller has different colors...

saw some really pretty patterns using it in some books online somewhere a while ago.
hope you find it!

Yep, THAT is or should i say was it. has anyone tried the jaggerspun zephyr? It is a lot cheaper than the jaeger, Ive read reviews and i need an honest opinion about it. Can anyone tell me if the vannila is more yellow than cream? It would be a great subsitute as you can buy 3 cones for the price of one on some websites!

I've swatched the JaggerSpun Zephyr wool-silk DK weight. I'm not sure if what you have is DK or lace weight, but I like both. It's not as soft or luxurious as I had hoped, but is a very nice yarn nonetheless.

I don't see a cream color in my color card, only a vanilla and white.

If you go to you can order a sample of the Zephyr wool silk and her other yarns and color cards for the cost of shipping!

I just received my samples and can't wait to find time to swatch them and pick some yarns.

Great, Cando can you tell me if you think the vanilla is more yellowish than creamy? Ive also found Louisa Harding Grace - Wool&silk. Has anyone tried this, it doesn't seem too popular, and i didn't find it in yarndex. Otherwise there really isn't much choice when it comes to luxurious silky yarn. I'm willing to pay for something like the Jaeger Silk, but their 'ivory' looks too white for my liking.
What do you think?

mscarmen, I looked at my color card and it looks like vanilla is slightly more yellow than what I would normally call cream. But that appears to be the only one that comes close.

About the Louisa Harding Grace, I recently felt it when at the LYS. It sure was nice, but expensive.

If you like 100% spun silk (very soft), Sarah's Yarns sells it in Natural white color.

I used the Vanilla (along with other colors) for the sweater I just finished. I would say it is a cream color, not yellow, but an off-white. Pics on most recent blog entry, also some comments about the yarn there, too.
