Can you block Superwashed wool?

I am making the Princess Pram cover from KPC which calls for 24 squares sewed together quilt-style. I made one square as a test out of acrylic, but it doesnt look really square to me. I am thinking that Superwash might be a better choice? I would love to use wool except for that tiny problem of the recipient accidently felting it!!

I believe it will block. I made a sweater with superwash and blocked it--the stitches smoothed out, though I didn't have to do any real shaping.

I did a lace shawl with sport weight superwash wool and it blocked beautifully and it has stayed blocked so I don't think you should have any problems.
