Which worsted weight yarn on Knit Picks is best for sock knitting?
I checked "sock yarn" but it was all fingering weight:pout:. and i really want my first sock to be worsted weight so it doesn't drag on forever.

hello. i recently made socks with knit picks bare worsted and they knitted up very nicely. Swish superwash is the same thing, but already dyed.
it stretched a bit while i used it making it more of a dk weight, but still a faster knit. (i finished one sock in a day and a half) it seems like it will hold up pretty well too. |
You could use Knitpick's swish superwash wool for worsted weight socks. If you didn't want to wait for an internet order to arrive, you could use wool-ease worsted, by Lion Brand. I made my first pair with it, and I still love them.

thanks. the both the swish and the woolease sound like good ideas to me.

I have used LB Wool ease. there is even a sock pattern on the LB website for Wool ease.
I've also used "Big Prints" by Mexico. It is a self patterning worsted weight machine washable wool. |
