New to Knitting... Need Pattern Help
 

I am working on my first project that requires more than the shape of a washcloth and requires some color changes... I thought I was okay until I ran into some trouble reading the pattern.

It is for a baby jumper/dress and it says:
Row 8: Change to Medium Pink and beg with knit row, work 6 rows in St st.
Dec 1 st at each end of next and following 6th rows 6 more times - 63 sts.

Does this mean that I will work rows 8-13 in stockingette stitch and then starting with row 14 I will dec the first and last stitches and then again I will dec the first and last stitches on row 20 (then rows 26, 32,38,44)?

I hope this makes sense. Any help would be great!

Glad to see that I already have to replies! I love you guys already! It is tough to not know if you are going in the right direction with a pattern... especially when it is your first time trying to follow one!
