socks from trekking xxl - will they shrink?

hi all,
i'm making my dso a pair of socks from trekking xxl yarn. they're my first stocks ever, so i'm new to this! it's 75% new wool (superwash), and 25% nylon. any chance they will shrink a little the first time i put them in the washer? i started at the toe, and i'm almost at the heel now. i just tried them on his feet, and they seem not tight. not necessarily loose, but not snug. i'm tempted to frog them back to the next to last increase to make them a few stitches smaller, but i wondered if there's any chance they'll shrink a little the first time i wash them?

any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

you should be ok. I've probably thrown my Trekking XXL socks in the washer at least 30 times in either cold or warm wash, and let them air dry - they haven't shrunken (shrank?). idk what will happen if you throw them in the dryer every time, as I've only accidentally done that a handful of times. but even with that, they're fine. :)

well, i guess at this point i'm kind of HOPING they'll shrink a little (even though that could make sizing the length confusing), because if they're not gonna shrink i think i need to start over. cuz socks that are a little loose are bad, right?

they've just been sitting for the past 10 days or so as i've been trying to figure out if i'm going to frog them or not...

 I'm sorry. I didn't read the part in your original post about them being too loose right now..

I've never had Trekking shrink. I would frog these!

alright, here i go a-frogging! thank you both for the non-shrinking advice!
