Hello from Louisiana!
Any knitters on the board that live in south Louisiana? I'm in Baton Rouge.

Hi from Baton Rouge! PM'd you about our LYS.
It's a really nice store! I've also heard good things about Quarter Stitch on Magazine Street, but I just don't have much desire to drive to New Orleans.

Hi, KatieBeee..I'm in Carencro. Have you been to the new Yarn Nook since they moved to the Oil Center?

Newbie in BR
I am also in Baton Rouge, I'm brand new to knitting. I tried to teach myself a few years ago and didn't succeed, I just found this website and I am currently doing better. I can't wait to do a real project, right now i'm just learning the steps.

Luling here, just outside New Orleans. I've been searching for other knitters near me for awhile, but most are a long drive away. I taught myself to knit a year ago, using this website. I knit in combination style, it's just easier for me. Knitting scarves weren't enough for me, so I ventured into sweaters, and very much enjoying it. Although, finish work just kills me!!! Can't stand doing it HAHA! I have many projects that need only finish work. My husband tells me "FINISH A PROJECT!" He just doesn't get it !! HAHA

I'm on the Northshore. Taught myself to knit on the internet. Both my daughters knit and we have a great little shop here called 'Knitwits' where we by our supplies. They teach classes too.

I also live on the north shore. Almost 1 year.

Hi Paula! What are you working on?? I'm keeping it simple. Scarfs. Basically, knitting simple is like therapy for me. It's been a rough four months for us. My son has been ill, so this has been a good stress reliever.
