:muah::muah::muah:I became very sick three years ago, hold up & unwell, a Tutu (Hawaiian Gramma) taught me to make haiku (head) leis. These were crochet'd or knitted. Well, I did so many, my friends where sick of them.

SO.......... I started knitting. I figured out how to cast on & started my first project. A scarf for my oldest daughter. Bless her heart, she loves her mom & accepted it with grace !!! I :knitting:& :knitting:&:knitting:.... I didn't know how to stop !!!!!!!!! So, my Tutu friend came & showed me how to cast off. My daughter is the proud owner of my first scarf, it is about 10 feet long, a foot wide & weighs probably 10 pounds! :roflhard:

I did not have internet at the time, and can tell you all, I DO NOW & come here for every single question. You all are so great & the videos are just amazing !!! I am so grateful to you all & especially our dedicated workers who keep this site up. BIG :grphug: & a warm :heart: to you all.

That is a great post, Carol, and I agree 100%. This is a warm and fuzzy place, hee hee, to learn about knitting.

BTW, I live in south Salem, not too far from you. (Compared, at least, to some of the others here!)

You said it -- this place is so wonderful!!!!! I tried to learn how to knit for the longest time, but being able to go back to the videos on this site are what helped it "click" for me!!!! I bought the CD so I could look at them whenever I wanted, not just online!!!!
