Easy, Fast Christmas Knits??
Does anyone have any easy, fast Christmas knit patterns I can make for presents for the parents and in-laws? I am at an easy level, possibly easy plus. (I'm finally past beginner.) I work fulltime ans have oodles of things to do, but would love to give a little something homemade for Christmas. Thanks in advance!

How 'bout some hats? This is a great pattern, doesn't take too much time, it's knit flat, and if you can do knit, purl and decreases, that's all there is to it (oh, plus sewing up the back seam when you're done). It's for all sizes and all yarn weights.

Here is a simple pattern for scarves. These have a shimmer and I get alot of compliments on them. They are made with Caron ribbon yarn called fabulous. Size 8 knitting needles.

Cast on 20 stitches
Row 1 knit
Row 2 k1, yo, k1, yo until end of row
Row 3 k1, slip yo off needle, k1, slip yo off needle until end of row.
Row 4 knit all the way across

Repeat rows 2 thru 4 until size you want. I usually make mine 60" long. Put on fringe.

How about was/dishclothes? Someone mentioned to me that a nice washcloth with a pretty handmade soap makes a nice little gift for the ladies. For the men, a hat or maybe a washcloth with an all natural soap??

Ok I will admit this is probably my most favorite answer and I posted raves several times but Silver's Palindrome scarf is awesome. It is easy and quick best of it is cabled so everyone will think you are a genius. (Shh, cables are super easy). I use it for my I am relaxing and watching tv knitting as the pattern was really easy to memorize! There is even a matching hat.
