Very first project -- a scarf, of course!
![]() ![]() After my roommate gave me a crash course in knitting and I learned a few techniques at KnittingHelp.com, I made this rendition of Lion Brand's BasketWeave Scarf (found HERE). I used a size 8 needle and just Caron Simply Soft in Grey Heather (wasn't going to spend a fortune in case I totally screwed it up!) Not too shabby for a first project! I can't wait to show you guys what else I've been working on! I've never been so excited about my new hobby. :yay: |
What a lovely scarf! Basketweave isn't that easy. I tend to get holes between the squares. I think yours looks more even and cozier than the one on the pattern. Good job. Can't wait to see what you make next.

Wow, that's a great first project! My first project was a dishcloth- yours is MUCH more impressive. Good job!

What a great first project :)

You did a great job! I found, when trying a basket weave stitch out, that if you twist that first stitch that trys to leave a hole, it won't be able to.

You did a GREAT job!!!!!!!!!!
