just in time present! Silk Sleeves
 

I made these armwarmers from the silk sleeves pattern in One Skein by Leigh RAdford. They are for my friend Marianne, whose birthday is this week. I used this lovely acrylic mohair-look yarn that RitaW sent me and it is perfect. MArianne is sensitive to mohair/ fluffy naturals so the acrylic will be great. I think they turned out well. I added 2 x 2 ribbing to the top for stretchyness.....

I love the blue colour it's gorgeous! I made a pair of these in red they are nice and snuggley, the good thing is they are qucik and easy to do so you make lots.

you are so right- I plan to make a set for myself next!!! And they didn't tka emuch yarn at all! I still have another whole ball of the blue Plus a little left from the first one.

and I'm going to treat myself with some made out of rowan kidsilk haze I got from someone at Ravelry who didn't want it anymore.....

the pattern is easy and fast!
