Need Some Pattern Finding Help?

Hello everyone! I just wanted to say that I know quite a few patterns that are easy. If you need a pattern for something, I am pretty sure I might be able to help. Just post a reply, and within a few minutes I will have posted a link or two. Happy knitting!

Do you have anything like this hat? Here is a link...scroll all the way to the right...hat on girl with long dark hair all the way on the right. I know I am being persistant about this hat, but I really like it!http://bp2.blogger.com/_RrObyQ3XzcY/...00-h/gw001.jpg

Lets see.... ah ha! Okay, here are a few sites that I thought were similar to the pic. If it's not close, let me know and I can cough up a few more sites. Hope these help!

Ginnyb, here's one similar to the hat you're looking for - http://www.terrymatz.com/hat-chevron.html - found it on the kpc link Miley posted. You would do the edge in rib st, and only one garter ridge, to get the look you want.

so, I would do rib for like...1 1/2 inches? Then start the pattern rows? Do you think it would fit close to the head or would I have to adjust the number of stitches I cast on? I'm sorry to sound like such a dummy, but patterns and I do not get along, I need things really spelled out for me...Ginny

Yeah, an inch or 1", then start the pattern. You would adjust the sts only if you're using a different weight yarn or needles. You might need to go down a needle size if the stitch gauge is too large.
