My mom came over to take me shopping for new clothes for my birthday.:present:

Bad News...
I learned I went up one pant size.:noway:

Good News...
I now have free membership to my local health gym.:thumbsup:

Bad News...
I have a pinched nerve and can't exercise. See above.:cry:

Good News...
Finished one fingerless glove that ds wanted.;)

Bad News...
DS took one look and said Ummm... I don't think I can wear these in front of my friends.:??

Good News...
Finished both my dd legwarmers that I had to frog three times till I got it right.:frog:

Bad News...
DD says it is too warm now to wear them.:hot:


Sometimes I wonder why I bother.:thud:

and my mothers too !! She is a sewer and growing up she always tried to replicate the "cool" clothes I wanted and I never quite took to them the way she hoped I would.

Let's see...I made the hubby a pair of socks (after he begged for months) and "they're awful bulky", made him a scarf "well, I thought it be more like...." then made him another scarf that appears to be perfection and "well, it's a warm winter I really don't need it."
And as for pants size ... good heavens my size changes daily and with the brand and color of pants I buy. Seriously, I have 3 different sizes from NY&Co that all fit the same. Women's sizes are a crock. Go by how wonderful you look in the mirror :muah:

Good News:
My new glasses look fabulous on me.

Bad News:
They sit weird on my nose and give me a headache.

Good News:
I finished the cutest purse yesterday and I LOVE it.

Bad News:
It's for etsy. And I made dh promise to make me SELL the things I make for etsy and not keep them. He is following through on his promise, darn it.

Good News:
My dh brought me breakfast this morning (a sausage egg muffin, hot chocolate AND a doughnut).

Bad News:
I'm kind of trying to get in shape here. Any shape but round.

Good News:
I get paid today.

Bad News:
My check is already spent.

Good news:

My savings are increasing

Bad news:

Tumble dryer just broke down

Good news:

Book arrived in the mail today

Bad news:

Mail doesn't arrive till almost noon

Good news:

Almost finished scarf

Bad news:

Just have a commission to knit a blanket in the same pattern

Good News:
I'm halfway done with both of my crazy socks!

Bad News:
I just discovered that the toe section has an extra row or two and I added a row on one of the pattern strips

Good News:
I bought some beautiful Berroco Alpaca to make a scarf

Bad News:
I think even this might be too itchy for me. :(

Good News:
I finally got prescription glasses

Bad News:
They make me see double after a few hours of wearing them!

Good News:
I had a good hair and makeup day, so I made an appointment to renew my drivers license.

Bad News:
The DMV was having technical difficulties, so I have to wait for another day.

Good News:
My actual real nails are long enough to not need tips anymore... I can get a real manicure! :happydance:
Bad news:
I smudged polish on 2 fingers on the way home from the salon :!!!:

Good news:
I'm making dinner tonight for a FIFTH date with the same guy! :inlove:

I'm surfing the web for recipes that include ingredients I didn't forget to buy at the store :help:

Good news: The new allergy meds seem to be working better than the old allergy meds

Bad news: I still can't breathe and the new allergy meds make me groggy

Good news: I was able to take a nap while the kids played mostly quietly this afternoon

Bad news: I still have dishes and laundry to do

Good news: I had just enough money to pay all my bills this month so that I will be ahead in another week and a half

Bad news: I had just enough money to pay all my bills this month so I have very little left for the next week and a half. Now I'll have to dip into my "fun money" for groceries on Sunday and will have to make half a tank of gas last for another week and a half

Hilde, I'm with you. Mine are finally growing out too!

I'll have to admit that these are making me laugh. Good to see we all have a sense of humor. :teehee:
