Purl increases? Can I purl a garment in the round instead of knit it?

I just taught myself Portuguese knitting, which I love. Purling is much faster than knitting in this method, so I'd like to make the Green Gable sweater inside out--purling instead of knitting it in the round. I'm thinking this HAS to be possible.

So here are my questions to make it happen:
  1. What is the best way to increase for raglan shaping? Remember, I'm PURLING. On the instructions, every other row, you k1f&b, slip marker, k1f&b at the shoulders. How do I adapt this for purling?
  2. Will my "Lace" section look the same? Can I just p2tog, yo instead of k2tog, yo?

Yes you can p2tog to decrease and for the increases you can purl front and back. If that doesn't work out, you can do a M1 purlwise between sts.

Thanks! Will the lace section look the same with p2tog, YO?

It shouldn't look much, if any, different at all.
