Can I fix the twist?
 

I don't knit in the round. Thought I'd try it for a sweater. It looks easy enough, I thought I'd gotten all the twists out before I joined but, alas, after a few inches, I see the twist. Of course I've been working on this on the train and not laying it out to see if it had a twist earlier. So, is there a way to fix a twist or is it a visit to the frog pond?

You can take it out to the end of the first round, then carefully take out the twist in the middle which effectively moves it to the join, then go from there. Otherwise, yean, you have to take it out.

I guess I am off to the lilly pad. Can I cry? This is the fifth time I'm starting this stupid sweater over. I keep doing something wrong. And I thought I was making progress!

Just keep trying, and stay concentrated, you should make it soon enough.

The continuing saga of the twist... rip out all of that hard work, start over. Work several rows on new piece, go to do increase and, oh my gosh, I've put on too many stitches!!! :waah: Ribbitt. Start again count stitches over again, yes, that's right, make sure there are no twists, yep, that looks OK. Start. Three rows later, it's right!!!! :cheering:

You could put a lifeline if you're sure you didn't twist on the first row, or so,... just to be sure.
