Looking for kids hat, scarf & mittens
 

Point me in the right direction :D I'm feeling very ambitious right now! I'm a total newbie, I started teaching myself to knit last week. I've been crocheting for about 18yrs but never did anything but baby blankets. I want to try to make my girls hats scarves & mittens for winter & with 3 of them I'll need to get going if I want it to be for this winter & not next :p TIA!

Since you are just beginning to knit the simplest scarf would be just garter stitch. I make a very simple hat on circular needles that is knit only but looks like stockinette stitch. It has a rolled brim. I would also opt for 2-needle mittens and I'm sure if you googled that, you would come up with some patterns. The one I use is from a very old pattern book circa.1950's. If you would like the pattern for the rolled brim hat just let me know and I will get it to you.

Since your location says toddlertown I'm assuming they are toddlers? :teehee:
