My SIL requested a pair of socks, so I decided on a snowflake pattern (Snowflake Lace Socks - on Ravelry):



Then I decided to try my hand at double-knitting, so here is my trial, using the Exchequered pattern:

Those look great! I want to learn double knitting, but since I'm an english knitter all that moving the yarn back and forth is annoying!

I'm an english knitter as well, and hold both strands with my right hand. It starts awkwardly, but now that I've done it for some 50 rows, it's easy enough. I tried holding one in each hand, and both continental, but I couldn't do it. I can't knit continental with regular knitting, so doing it for double knitting wasn't an option for me.

GREAT WORK! I also appreciate how you linked the photos to a super size! That was a neat technique! Cool!

I just gotta learn socks.
