Paw bib
 

I posted this on the KAL thread but couldn't resist posting it here also. In the KAL thread, they were doing the "paw" dishcloth, which I wanted to do, but I also wanted to try the bib pattern in the Mason Dixon book. I combined them and voila:

Great Idea....I love it! I have the bib pattern somewhere and I have the "paw" pattern....Did you have to change the "paw" any to make it fit? If so, can you share?

I used the paw print itself as-is; the paw dishcloth called for 36 stitches, and I believe that the bib called for 40. I stretched it a bit because I always slip the first stitch, so I used 42 stitches. I added 3 garter stitches at the beginning and end of each row, and used an extra 3-4 rows of garter in the beginning. You might notice that my garter border is wider all the way around, and I did that on purpose. Because the 2 patterns were so close to the same size (with the exception of the straps) it was pretty easy to merge them.
