cable without cable needles

I am new back at knitting but doing really well. After a dozen projects I'm doing a baby cable sweater. Its a Cr2R or L and a Tw2R or L every 2 stitches. I KNOW there is a way to do it without cable needles. So some one PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me. I am so frustrated, and I no longer have my mom to phone and help. Thank You so much in advance.
PS This is all the way from the interior of BC in the rockies where winters are very long and we need the projects.

This may be of some help, but may not be the total answer to the different cables you are doing. It is from Grumperina. LINK

You can get to the left and right from this page. There is more than one way to do cables without needles, but this is one tutorial I know of. I hope it helps.

Also, there is a video right here on the Advanced video page for cabling w/out a needle.
