Purple Cardigan

I eventually got back to my purple cardigan project after some absence and am just one short row short of completing the right front. That leaves the left front, the sleeves and the making up. I hope that doesn't take another 3 years to accomplish lol.

Hey....better now than never!

I started a pair of matching skirts for my two youngest daughters 'back in the day', girl sizes 8 and 6...got side-tracked...

...the girls finally became women...

...no skirts...:pout:

So much for sewing WIPS!

Thanks - that's encouraging!

Pity about the skirts!

I started an Aryan cardigan in 1974, finished it in 1983, and am still wearing it!

Way to go,you will finish it before you know it.

I started a booga bag in 2007/2008 and I finally finished it and felted it a couple of weeks ago.

Good for you on not giving up! Arans need plenty of time and patience. I used to knit a row or 2 of Aran patterns that my mother was knitting when I was a child, because I loved the variety of stitches, but haven't knit a complete one myself. Some day I will.

Wow, you worked on one bag for 3 years! I'd say congrats are in order on finishing it! :yay:

If you like the sweater, better not let it sit too long. When I do that, I seldom come back and finish something.

Can we see some pictues? I looooooooove purple.

Try not to worry about how long it takes you to knit it as long as you remeber to enjoy knitting it.

Set yourself posible goals such as: a row a day, or two rows a week.

I also found it very convenient to leave my WIPs out and within hands' reach. Everytime that I wait for my daughter to come and let me brush her hair, get in her room, etc. I grab my knitting and do a few stitches.

Have fun
