Well I really struggled and in the end I knit the edging instead of crocheting it! But it's done and for my first crochet project I think it's ok

Matinee coat

It's a matinee jacket but its soo beautiful when my mother made it she elongated it and I had it for a christening cape over the christening gown. I'll try my best to do the same. I'll post a photo...

Probably not. I guess I was just going to turn where it says turn and knit back until I get to the last row where I knit all the stitches but I probably have this wrong too.

What does this mean? I thought it meant slip 11 stitches onto the right hand needle then continue to the last 4 and turn but when I come to the next line I have this length of yarn stretching across...

Well I haven't knit anything in 30years and even then my knitting is extremely armature but once it's finished I will try to figure out how to post a picture. It's weekend knitting only I'm afraid...
