if you get knitpicks classic circs, which are available individually, you will not regret it. i suggest starting out with 1 or 2 sizes you think you'll use a lot. for me, a 4 and a 7 would be ideal....

i haven't tried felting inside a pillow case, but my latest trick is to throw in an old pair of shoes to mash things about. i like the idea of capturing all the fuzz in the pillowcase, though.
