I could try that... I did try using waste yarn, thinking that I could remove it after I'd cast on the stitches, but don't see how that would be possible. I'll have to rip them out and try again since...

BTW, I have the palms of the gloves facing out, so the thumbs are pointing at each other. The backs of the gloves are on the other side of the loop.

I'm using this pattern http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall02/PATTbroadstreet.html, which was not written for Magic Loop or two-at-a-time knitting, but I have tried to figure it out to use both of those...
